March 27,2012

It was time for an adventure. We are headed to CURU park today. Remember I was there in December strolling around the trails looking at spider monkeys! We are taking the gang this time and going to Playa Quesera. Our good friend and neighbor Miguel called and arranged for us a boat ride to this private beach inside the park. We were to meet at the park at 10am. The Victorian crew was in charge of making all the sandwiches for our lunch that day, mom and dad had to get me and all my stuff packed up and Irene came over early this morning to give me breakfast while mom and dad got us ready to go. We were to leave by 9am as it is an hour drive out to the park. We unbelievably left on time.

Once we arrived at the park Luis the captain was waiting for us. We had a few things to take with us and he was very kind and patient while we loaded up the boat. It was a beautiful day. Mom had a talk with him once we all got in the boat not to forget that we were out at this deserted beach and to please remember to come pick us up back up. It turns out that last year he forgot to pick up Miguel and his family so mom wanted to make sure that did not happen to us!!! He promised he would remember! 😉

The beach, well the words are hard to find. It was stunning, it was something right out of a movie. It had white sand and bluish green water. It was so nice. I enjoyed the boat ride. Once we got our camp set up I snuggled in for a quick cat nap. Later Irene and mom took me over to see some horses. There was a small group there on a horse ride and were just leaving when we we showed up. After they left we were the only ones there. We had such a wonderful day together.

At 3:30pm the captain was there right on time, and this time he drove fast back to the park and I really liked the wind whipping thru my hair, the sound of the engine, and the high speed of the boat. What was so great about today was that we were just like any other family. We had fun, we were spontaneous, we did not let anything stand in our way of having a good time. Mom and dad chilled out too! I am ready to go back again!
