Today we went to my buddy Hope’s birthday party! It was lots of fun with good friends and good food! Hope had a great day there was a big birthday poster that everyone was able to paint their names on to wish Hope a Happy Birthday! I dunked my foot in some white paint and made an official birthday footprint and my mom helped me sign my name to the card! It was a good time! Hope just turned one and she will be coming to my Birthday party next month! 

We made it home just in time before a huge thunderstorm started. The lights went out for a few hours but we were all upstairs snuggled up in bed waiting for it to pass. We needed the rain though, my dad just got in a bunch of new plants and we were all happy to see it raining!
Off to bed now, all this partying has me pooped!

My mom had a really nice and relaxing mother’s day! My dad and I made my mom breakfast in bed with some yummy pancakes and sliced mango! My mom hung out and relaxed and later that day we went swimming together in the pool. It was a great day, and thanks mom for taking such good care of me!

Trying to get rid of these styes! Ugh

Ok, I have a stye in each eye. I cant begin to tell you how much this irritates me. My mom has been trying everything possible to get rid of them but they just keep coming back. We are on a new antibiotic and hoping that helps to get rid of my stye. My mom sneaks in warm compresses on me when I am sleeping. She thinks I dont know what she is up to but I do! Matter of fact, I caught on really quick about the eye medicine and would cover my eyes with both my hands when ever I saw the medicine coming! My mom is good though as she is constantly out tricking me to get those drops in! The other day I just decided to close my eyes super tight and tried not to let her get in there but she finally did.

Hopefully they will go away soon. Malia

Well the rainy season has made it here. We had two solid weeks of rain.. In a matter of no time everything turned beautiful and green. All the plants in our nursery look alive !! The only thing about the rain, is me and mom have not been able to get in the pool.. You all know how much I love to swim. Anyway, my mom fixed that and ordered the waterway baby pool for me so I can swim anytime rain or not! It just arrived on Friday. We have had a break from the rains and it has been sunny again and we are back to swimming. 🙂

We are going into San Jose soon. We are going to pick up Sabrina at the airport. I cant wait to meet her. She hopefully is going to be my new physical therapist. She is going to stay with us for a month! We are so happy that she is coming!

Hola,

I know it has been a while since I last wrote. I have been feeling so good and so busy with therapy and swimming I almost forgot to write this month! Thanks to my Uncle Andy he reminded me that I had been late on the job!

I had a most fantastic trip to San Jose two weeks ago. I impressed all the therapists and doctors. I gained 6  pounds in three months and 2 inches! I finally made into the growth charts! YEAH! I

I had a new experience, I went for hydro therapy at CIMA and loved it ! The director of PT met with me and my parents and gave me an evaluation. She said I was one of the most educated little girls she had seen come thru her doors! Ok, I showed off a bit! 😉 My mom and I went into the pool with the director and I must have lifted my head for her 20 different times! I am gaining on my head strength! Better than ever! My mom and I are still working out daily and soon I will have Sabrina come visit me for a month. She hopefully will become my new PT instructor. We are going to play together for a month and see how it goes. I just know we are going to get along great and hopefully she can help my mom to develop me to my fullest potential! I really want to sit up. I try alot harder now.

Well that is the latest update on me for now… Looking forward to my big two year birthday coming up in June!

We had a great weekend. Went out to lunch on Saturdays with some friends and then went for a swim in the pool! It was so hot by the time we came home I was ready to get my feet wet!! Today we went to Karen’s! Had a wonderful day hanging by the pool and my dad made some yummy ribs! We all had a great time, and of course I went swimming again in Karen’s pool! We had so much fun! Her pool water is warmer than mine and I could have stayed in there all day but after a hour was time to get out and head for home! Thanks to George, Karen and Hillary for a super fun Sunday!!
