Olga brings news!

January  19th,

So far this week has been pretty mellow. Olga and I have worked out together alone.  My mom and dad have been working lots and so Olga is trying out what she learned on me last week. It is going pretty good.

This morning at 8 am Olga comes to my room. Mom was giving me my meds when she showed up. My mom asked what it was that she needed as we don’t start workouts till 10:30 am.  Olga simply said I quit. My mom’s mouth once again drops open to the floor. Why asks my mom? Olga states that she has found another job. Another job???? Excuse me, but you just accepted this job. You have not even been here three weeks. What in the world are you talking about? Yes she says, I had interviewed for another job in December in San Jose and they have offered me the position. Just like that she hands my mom a letter of resignation and walks out the door. Needless to say my mom is very upset. I mean really upset more brava than sad. We understand that everyone has ambitions and expectations to succeed in life but you don’t accept a job one day and then turn around and leave the next. It is no easy thing hiring someone for me and much time and energy gone into finding Olga. Besisdes mom was frustrated that she had Sofia here all last week training her! That was time and money not well spent.

Mom decided to call Tia Maria as her daughter Maria has been here for  awhile visiting and we have become friends. Mom asked “pequena” that is what we call her since she is the younger Maria to see if she would be willing to help out while we  search for another therapist. Maria says yes and heads over this morning to go with me and mom to the platform.  Maria is not a PT but her heart is in the right place and she likes me. Mom showed her how to stretch me and how to roll me over and get me to practice lifting my head. We did a few other easy moves and Maria did really well. Mom later showed her how to give me lunch and Maria has agreed to help out a few hours a day so that mom can get some things done with our business and her new real estate job. Thanks Maria for giving us a needed hand and for being there for us when we called upon you. I look forward to getting to know you better and can only hope that the next PT will be much better and more responsible than the last.

Will keep you posted!
Love Malia xoxo
