After coming home from the hospital and receiving ten days of antibiotics and intramuscular injections from Irene, I am still not doing so good. I have seizures every day. The ones I do the most are lip-smacking and infantile spasms. The lip-smacking can go on for hours! My therapies have been so so. I am usually sleeping through most of my therapy sessions even though Irene gives it her very best shot to keep me awake. I am just not myself. I don’t feel good. I am tired all the time. I have been refluxing alot and have recently began to sometimes throw up which I never do. I have had my days that have been much better than others and hoping that all is right with my body.

My parents have been monitoring me and I have been trying so hard not to be sick again but I do believe it is time for us to go back into town. My mom is alarmed with my sleeping all the time and the fact my seizures are always lurking around. My grandparents showed up on the 5th and will be here for awhile am hoping to have some quality time with them and not be sick!

We are going in for a check up and hopefully everything will be okay.

End of June

I managed to stay healthy for Uncle George and Grace’s visit and was able to enjoy my birthday at the beach. It was so great to feel good and enjoy my time with my family and friends.

Unfortunately, three days after George and Grace left I began an increase in seizures and spiked a fever of 102. Irene mom and I headed to San Jose on the 27th of June and went straight to CIMA where I was admitted with pneumonia, hypnotremia,(low sodium) and guess what another urinary tract infection with the same bacteria as three weeks ago Enterbacter Clocae. Since I had done my uro dynamics test and the doctor said it was important to do a VCUG exam with infection present, we took advantage and did the study while I was in the hospital. I had to have a catheter put in me and radio nuclear medicine was put into me so that they could see if I was refluxing. This test concluded that I am not refluxing.

I am receiving my antibiotic through an IV and am not having to be on oxygen. I also received 24hours of a low sodium solution and the next day we tested my sodium and it was up again. They did a test to see if I had a virus and sure enough I had Adenovirus. The virus is not bothering me so much I have a small cough and thankfully am doing good. It looks like I wont be in here long, they are sending me home with Intramuscular shots of Rocephine for two days and Irene knows how to give a Intramuscular shot so she can give to me each day then I will be on a oral antibiotic of Denvar for ten days.Ugh… I have been on so many antibiotics they sure dont make me feel so good but we have to get rid of the bacteria. So that is most important.

On Saturday we got our walking papers and headed home.Today is Irene’s birthday and her family is coming out to Delicias to celebrate her day! We are looking forward to celebrating my homecoming and Irene’s birthday! We have been trying forever to get her parents and sister out here! So it shall be a great weekend!
