Rain Rain Go Away!

Monday, November 8th, 2010

Last weekend was beautiful but Monday it started to rain and rained for 5 days straight without stopping. Tropical Storm Tomas really came down upon Costa Rica. It was so wet and cold we pretty much stayed upstairs the entire time! When I say it rained it really really rained! One night we received 6 inches of rain in 2 hours! The rain finally stopped on Saturday. Today it is beautiful the sun is out and I am back out at the platform working out! Yeah!

We arrived on Thursday to Delicias! It was so great to see my dogs, Bismark, Luisa, Daniella and Maria! What a long time to be away from home! Of course Luisa had my bedroom looking beautiful with flowers! She is so sweet! What a great trip we had! It was so nice to see everyone! Now it is back to work for me! I am ready though! I cant wait to try out my new glasses and tennis shoes!

We made it to San Jose on Monday night! I had a great trip on the plane! I have my car seat in the seat of the plane and it really helps! I feel very comfortable in it! Mom gave me my dinner and I dozed off to sleep and before I knew it we were back at the hotel! What a great trip we had! We will be in San Jose for a few days as I have to see Geovanny my therapist. I am looking forward to getting home and sleeping in my bed! I have been sleeping with my parents during our trip and am ready to sleep solo!

Dallas last stop before home!

Monday, November 8th, 2010

After my visit to my grandparents we drove to Dallas to stay with George and Grace. Our flight was out of Dallas so we rented a car and headed up the interstate! The entire time we were in Austin the weather could not have been better. The day we left for Dallas though it began to storm. While we we driving on I 35 the weather became so bad my mom decided to pull over at a gas station and we waited for the weather to subside. The wind was blowing like crazy and my mom and dad could hardly see in front of them. What should have taken us 3 hours took us close to 5! Uncle George called us and told us to be aware of tornadoes! We did not like that news! Matter of fact the very next day there was a tornado on the same highway we were driving! Thank goodness we missed it! We are looking forward to spending the weekend with George and Grace and to see Janet and Parker again!
